60 enthusiastic bowlers met at the bowling alley of SAFRA Mount Faber on Saturday morning. Not knowing one another added to the chill of the alley, but the atmosphere was soon warmed up with self-introductions and friendly hand shakes amongst bowlers. Laughter quickly ensued.
After the prior registrations and lane assignments, amateur bowlers ready themselves for the fun by choosing their house balls and renting shoes, while experienced bowlers geared up for the warming exercises. Some lanes had more than 20 balls, averaging about 3 balls per bowlers. As the competition eventually went on its way, the alley lost its chill. Organizers had a hard time deciding whether it was the competitive spirit among the bowlers that was heating up the atmosphere, or that the air-conditioning had malfunctioned!
RI Team 1 quickly pulled away and led the way with 722 total pins in the first game.
Female bowlers were given a handicap of 10 pins per game.

The Deputy Principal (Student Development) of RI, Mr. Kenneth Kwok, was invited to give away above prizes.
The Champion Team, RI Team 1, also won the RPA Bowling Tournament Challenge Trophy, which was sponsored by RPA Chairman, Mr. Chua Wah Ann. Mr. Chua Wah Ann was invited to give away the Challenge Trophy.
